What is the disinfectant component IPMP? ]
IPMP (isopropylmethylphenol) is an ingredient used in familiar products such as dentifrices and cosmetics.

 

 

Preparation

Turn off the exhaust fan and close the window if there is one.

Small items (washcloths, towels, shampoo bottles, etc.) can be left in the bathroom.
Whether the bathroom is dry or wet makes no difference to the anti-mould effect.
Can also be used in unit bathrooms and bathroom dryers.

 How to use

1. Remove the aluminium bag from the plastic container and fill the plastic container with water up to the dotted line. Use one unit per bathroom, regardless of the size of the bathroom.
-Please do not add too much more than the dotted line.

2. Open the aluminium bag and remove the can as it is.
-Do not remove the red seal on the top of the can.

3. Place a plastic container filled with water in the centre of the bathroom, place the can with the red seal side up, place the can of medicaments in the container and cover it with the ring-shaped lid.
-Do not touch the can as it will be hot after setting. The can will cool down in approximately 60 minutes.

4. Smoke will be emitted after about 30 seconds, so leave the bathroom and keep the door closed for at least 30 minutes. (The can will smoke vigorously for about the first minute and then stop after about 10 minutes.)
-The smoke will be released after approximately 30 seconds, and the door will be closed for at least 30 minutes after that.

-When the medicaments evaporate, a black, dissolved solid substance will remain inside the can as a residue of the medicament.

A small amount of smoke may leak into the dressing room or surrounding rooms, but this is not a problem. If this is a concern, ventilate the area.

After use

・After 30 minutes have elapsed, be sure to ventilate the room for at least 30 minutes 　by running the exhaust fan.
　If there is no ventilation fan (or the switch is not outside), start ventilation after at 　least 60 minutes has elapsed to avoid the risk of smoke inhalation.

・The can may be hot, so do not touch the can until ventilation has finished. Also, do 　not pour water on the can after use.

・It is not necessary to flush the bathroom with water after using this product.
　If there is no smoke in the bathroom, you may bathe.

・Daily bathroom cleaning should be carried out as normal.

・Dispose of used cans in accordance with local authorities' categories such as 'metal 　waste' or 'non-burnable waste'.
